Former Kentucky cop charged with raping 14-year-old

A retired Kentucky police officer was hit with rape and sodomy charges after he allegedly admitted to having sex with a 14-year-old victim on multiple occasions — and even buying a sex toy for the sick abuse.

Radcliff resident David Roy Love, 69, was arrested on January 4 by Kentucky State Police following an investigation into the alleged perv, local newspaper the News Enterprise reported.

Love reportedly admitted to the inappropriate relationship during a non-custodial interview, arrest records show.

The abuse began in early October when the victim was still just 13 years old, according to the documents obtained by the paper.

The ex-cop said he received and performed oral sex, engaged in other sexual acts, and even purchased a sex toy for their use during two or more encounters with the victim.

In his mug shot, the six-foot-tall Love’s face appeared to be badly bruised and swollen, while his head was wrapped in gauze and bandages.

Sources told The Post that Love is suffering from cancer and that his mug shot appearance was a side effect of the radiation treatment he was receiving.

The former officer also reportedly confessed to having child porn on his personal tablet and to sending the porn through Facebook. He later deleted it to hide evidence.

Love was charged with second-degree rape, second-degree sodomy, and tampering with evidence. He was released from the Hardin County Detention Center the day following his arrest after posting part of a $25,000 bond.
