Where to buy tickets, schedule, new dates

We can’t believe it either.

The Red Headed Stranger is on the road…again.

Willie Nelson, 90, just extended his 2024 tour schedule, adding an additional 13 concerts to his calendar.

That includes gigs in Lincoln, Milwaukee, Des Moines and other prominent midwestern cities.

At all shows, Nelson performs alongside his backing band, Family, made up of touring musicians like harmonicist Mickey Raphael and drummer Billy English, whom he’s played with since the mid-’70s.

They don’t phone it in, either.

Based on our findings, the group plays anywhere from a dozen to 20+ songs at live shows, according to Set List FM.

And if you want to sing along with the world’s most active nonagenarian —  by our estimation — this May, you can grab tickets for all Willie Nelson concerts as soon as today.

Although inventory isn’t available for the newly announced concerts on Ticketmaster until Friday, Jan. 19, fans who want to ensure they have tickets ahead of time can purchase on sites like Vivid Seats before tickets are officially on sale.

Vivid Seats is a secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.

They have a 100% buyer guarantee that states your transaction will be safe and secure and will be delivered before the event.

Stagecoach Music Festival 2024

On April 26-28, Nelson will lend his talents to Indio, CA’s premier country event of the year.

This go-round, he’ll be joined by an eclectic group of performers including Eric Church, Morgan Wallen, Hardy, Bailey Zimmerman and Jelly Roll.

Post Malone, The Beach Boys and Nickleback will be there, too.

You can grab tickets for the three-day extravaganza here.

Willie Nelson new music

After winning the Grammy Award for Best Country Album in 2023 for his 72nd studio album, 2022’s “A Beautiful Time” — to be fair, Nelson is older than the Grammy Awards themselves — he’s already back at it.

Last year, he’s released not one but two records. In March, he dropped the winsome “I Don’t Know A Thing About Love,” which is comprised of Harlan Howard covers.

Then, in September, “Bluegrass,” his 74th studio album, hit shelves.

You can hear both right here.

Willie Nelson set list

This upcoming tour isn’t a novelty run of shows for Nelson.

No, he’s been touring regularly these past few years.

And he plays a different set every night.

Yes, he always opens with “Whiskey River” but what comes next is anyone’s guess.

If you want to see what he’s been performing, you can find a record of all Willie Nelson concerts dating back to his first gig ever — at least as far back as we could find — in 1962, at Set List FM.

Willie Nelson Grammys 2023

You wouldn’t believe it but Nelson isn’t the oldest Grammy winner ever.

That distinction belongs to blues pianist Pinetop Perkins who won Best Traditional Blues Album for his record “Joined at the Hip” in 2011.

Still, Nelson’s achievement is nothing to sneeze at.

The win was his 12th and he bested fellow, much younger nominees Maren Morris, Luke Combs, Miranda Lambert and Ashley McBryde.

Here are just five huge country stars you won’t want to miss when they come to a venue near you in the next few months.
