Reba McEntire books new NBC comedy pilot years after ‘Reba’

Reba McEntire will survive another television pilot season.

The country singer, 68, is set to return to the sitcom format with a new show on NBC.

She will star in an untitled comedy that has received a pilot order.

The “Big Sky” actress’ new gig comes 23 years after the debut of her hit sitcom, “Reba,” which premiered on the now-defunct WB network in 2001.

Her upcoming series will reunite her with her old “Reba” showrunner Kevin Abbott, who is producing and writing the script.

“Reba inherits her father’s restaurant and is less than thrilled to discover that she has a new business partner in the half-sister she never knew she had,” reads the plot line for the show.

“Reba” aired until 2007 and followed a “single mom who works too hard” (McEntire) as she takes care of her three kids as she undergoes a divorce.

The Houston-set comedy also starred Christopher Rich as her ex-husband who leaves Reba for his pregnant dental hygienist, Barbara (Melissa Peterman).

Fans across social media were elated to see “The Voice” coach return to their TV screens.

“Yaaaas Ms. single mom who works too jobs who loooves her kids and never stops!!! 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼,” someone wrote, crooning to the “Reba” theme song.

“Strike while the iron is hot,” another person wrote. “Keep the momentum going. I wouldn’t be surprised of Reba is working on a new album.”

One bellowed: “SCREAMING CRYING THROWING UP! MAKING THIS MY ENTIRE PERSONALITY!”

A fan chimed in: “She’s baaaack!!! Best news ever!”

“We need more multi-cam sitcoms!!!! Bring it back!!!!” one exclaimed.

McEntire’s next job is singing the national anthem at Super Bowl LIV on Feb. 11, which will see the Kansas City Chiefs take on the San Francisco 49ers.

Post Malone is set to perform “America the Beautiful,” while Andra Day will sing “Lift Every Voice and Sing” at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
