Kevin Costner welcomes puppy after Christine Baumgartner divorce: ‘Already in love’
Kevin Costner has introduced his fans to the “newest addition” to his family — an adorable Labrador puppy — following his messy divorce from Christine Baumgartner.
The Oscar-winning actor, 69, took to social media Thursday to reveal that he’s “already in love” with the pooch, whose name was not revealed.
“Newest addition to the family,” Costner captioned a series of pics shared on Instagram with his 1.2 million followers. “I’m already in love with this special guy.”
In the snaps, the “Yellowstone” actor can be seen enjoying the sun with his new pal.
In one image, Costner can be seen giving the energetic pup an adoring look as he leans on his truck which features a surfboard strapped to the roof.
Another snap showed Costner’s canine companion dozing off in his arms. In the final image, the dog can be seen lounging on the floor.
Costner expanded his family just weeks after it was reported that his ex-wife had moved on with their neighbor Josh Connor after their divorce was finalized.
Baumgartner and Connor first sparked romance rumors over the summer after the pair vacationed in Hawaii together amid her divorce battle.
However, they denied that their relations were romantic and instead insisted that they were nothing more than friends.
Costner and the handbag designer finally settled their bitter divorce in September.
The exes share sons Cayden,16, and Hayes, 14, and daughter Grace, 13.
Costner, for his part, has reportedly started dating singer Jewel since his split from Baumgartner.
Baumgartner, 49, filed for divorce in May 2023 after 18 years of marriage, citing “irreconcilable differences.”
The pair went on to have a contentious court battle over child support and their prenuptial agreement, with Baumgartner accusing her ex of misrepresenting his finances.
Last month, Costner celebrated his 69th birthday by posting a throwback photo on social media to mark the special day.
“Celebrating another year of life today and taking a moment to honor this kid who had big dreams. It’s hard to believe how far we’ve come,” he captioned the Instagram snap shared on Jan. 18.
“Thank you all for the birthday wishes. It’s because of your support that I’ve been able to chase my dreams all these years.”
