Matt Damon BTS details of Ben Affleck Dunkin’ Super Bowl commercial, 4-minute version drops

All hail the DunKings.

Dunkin’ has officially released a 4-minute version of their Super Bowl 2024 advertisement, which features Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, ex-NFL star Tom Brady and Jennifer Lopez.

In the extended cut, which was posted by the official Dunkin’ Instagram account, Affleck, 51, can be seen asking Lopez, 54, if she could help him develop some “beats” after watching a news report that called the actor “the boredest man in the world.”

“Do you have any time today if I wanted to squeeze by and like …,” the “Gone Girl” actor says trailing off.

“I understand,” he adds, after it is made clear the songstress isn’t interested. “Jen, you know, you’re not the only one with a dream.”

The “Pearl Harbor” actor is then spotted in a recording studio belting out a song titled “I’m Still Down With Dunkin’.”

Realizing he can’t do it alone, Affleck enlists the help of TikTok star Charli D’Amelio, who worked with Affleck during a previous collaboration with Dunkin‘, who pays homage to when she accidentally forgot who the actor was.

“I’m a kind of influencer myself,” Affleck tells D’Amelio, 19, after she asks Affleck what he does for a living.

“I do some acting and writing and directing of movies, which are a long-form entertainment that was popular in the 20th century,” the Oscar winner says.

The duo are then joined by musician Jack Harlow, who tells the “Good Will Hunting” writer-actor to reconsider his idea.

“I don’t think you should do this,” Harlow, 25, tells Affleck in a car, also paying homage to the doughnut-and-coffee purveyor’s 2023 Super Bowl commercial, which saw Lopez ordering from Affleck at a Dunkin’ drive-through.

“Last year, she came to my work. Now, I got to show her what I can do,” the “Dazed and Confused” star says.

The commercial then proceeds as it did when it originally aired on Sunday with the boy band — now comprised of Damon, 53, and Brady, 46 — storming into the recording studio, donning pink and orange tracksuits, and playing their hit for an incredulous Lopez, who hides her face in embarrassment.

“Affleck on the track,” booms the narrator as the star-studded boyband takes center stage.

After being dismissed by Lopez, Damon and Affleck — still in the tracksuits that are currently being sold by Dunkin‘ — can be seen walking home when the “Oppenheimer” star turns to his longtime pal and says: “Remember how I said I would do anything for you? This is anything.”

During an appearance on “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert” on Tuesday, Damon revealed that the line was actually not in the script and that they both thought the camera had stopped rolling.

“I actually said that to him when we were filming,” Damon laughed. “And he just left it in.”

To celebrate the brand-new version of the ad, the coffee joint revealed that it also dropped two brand-new DunKing-inspired items, including DunKings Munchkins Skewers and Affleck’s own signature drink: DunKings Iced Coffee.

Several fans were left rather hyped-up after the advertisement dropped.

“I don’t need a Valentine, I have the DunKings,” laughed one fan.

“I love how he’s turning those stupid comments into💰! He’s laughing all the way to the bank,” wrote a second person.

“Whoever came up with this campaign needs a MAJOR raise,” a third added.

“Don’t Dunk Away at My Heart” is currently available to stream on all music streaming platforms.
