Jason Momoa confirms Ben Affleck’s DC return
The Caped Crusader is back — and it’s not Christian Bale’s version or Robert Pattinson donning the batsuit again.
Ben Affleck popped up in a photo with his former “Justice League” co-star Jason Momoa on Thursday, confirming the Oscar winner, 49 will be reprising his role as Bruce Wayne/Batman in the upcoming “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.”
The “Game of Thrones” star, 42, shared a very bro-mantic shot of the two men hugging on Instagram.
“REUNITED,” Momoa exclaimed in his caption. “Bruce [Wayne] and [Arthur Curry. love u and miss u Ben!”
He went on to explain that Warner Bros — the studio responsible for turning DC comics into films — was hosting a studio tour and fans caught the two men shooting there.
“WB studio tours just explored the backlot alright. busted on set all great things coming AQUAMAN 2,” Momoa added. “All my aloha!”
The post also contained a video of the fans seeing the Hawaiian native on the studio lot. “”Well, it’s not a f— secret anymore, is it?” Momoa joked in the clip.
He continued: “That’s what happens, Warner Bros., when you walk out of your set and there’s our fans. … Well, we tried to keep it a secret.”
The “Aquaman” sequel is set to be released in March and the cast is currently undergoing reshoots as filming wrapped in December.
The “Argo” star is also putting on the suit once again for next year’s “The Flash,” sharing the role with ’90s era Batman Michael Keaton.
Meanwhile, a petition has been circling around since 2020 to remove actress Amber Heard from the “Aquaman” sequel amid her legal issues with ex-husband Johnny Depp.
The memo has since reached over 4.6 million signatures and growing.
Heard, 36, noted in her defamation case earlier this year that her controversial legal issues forced Warner Bros to drastically reduce her role in the sequel.
