Woman rescued through car window during Arizona flash flood

A woman in Arizona trapped when raging floodwaters suddenly enveloped her car was saved in a daring rescue outside Phoenix, video shows.

Sue Teders was driving on a dry gravel road with no rain nearby when a wall of water suddenly appeared, causing her to get stuck, Fox Weather reported. The state has been hit with a barrage of monsoons and flash flooding since Thursday, according to AZ Central.

Two police officers, one detention officer and a firefighter pulled Teders through the back seat window of her mostly-submerged car as a river of floodwater rushes around them, according to body cam footage of the incident in Apache Junction.

In the video, the woman can be heard begging the rescuers, “Can you get my dog?” to which one replies “It doesn’t matter, let’s go.” The puppy, named Claire, has not been found.
