A Film by Beyoncé’ is the queen of the box office

She’s the Queen Bey of the box office.

“Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé” reigned supreme on its first night in theaters Friday, raking in $11.5 million, according to IMDB’s Box Office Mojo.

The documentary concert film written, directed and produced by Beyoncé Knowles-Carter, is expected to enjoy as much as a $24-million-dollar opening, according to Deadline.

Variety said the movie, which chronicles her 2023 tour, “highlights the pursuit of perfection with dazzling results.”

Japanese adventure “Godzilla Minus One,” which also debuted Friday, landed in second, with earnings of $4.72 million.

The Hollywood Reporter called the flick, the 37th in the Godzilla franchise “one of the best Godzilla films ever.

“The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes,” which was in the No. 1 spot last week, flew down to third, with a $4.15-million take.

This week, the dystopian action film, which is the lowest earning in the “Hunger Games” franchise, earned over $200 million globally, according to Collider.

“Napoleon,” which was in second place last week, landed in fourth, taking home $2.1 million. The Ridley Scott-directed epic historical drama, based on the life of Napoleon Bonaparte, stars Joaquin Phoenix as the French emperor and military commander.

Sci-fi thriller “The Shift,” based on the Bible’s Book of Job, took fifth, with over $1.76 million in sales.
