A ‘pro-level’ ‘Jeopardy!’ spinoff may be coming soon

A “Jeopardy!” spinoff series starring the champions of the long-running game show may be headed to TV soon.

Executive producer Michael Davies revealed in a new interview with the New York Times how he’s thinking of creating a sister TV show that would air live and would be filled with master-level players.

“What we really need to develop is the pro-level version of the game,” Davies said.

He went on: “It seemed ridiculous to me that we have this sport where every single year we take all of our best players — we take our LeBrons [James] and our Dwyanes [Wade] — and we switch them all out.”

Davies added that producing another spinoff would make “a lot of my staff nervous.”

Another show — titled “Celebrity Jeopardy!” — premiered on Sept. 25 and was hosted by Mayim Bialik.

The beloved game show has been on for years.

The show featured a slew of A-listers such as Constance Wu, “The Office” star B.J. Novak, Marvel actor Simu Liu, comedian Iliza Shlesinger, Aisha Tyler and the WNBA’s Candace Parker.

The latest season of “Jeopardy!” saw a series of contestants such as Amy Schneider, Matt Amodio, Mattea Roach and Ryan Long becoming true MVPs.

Davies also recently admitted that the trivia show’s rules could be changing soon as well.

He appeared on the “Inside Jeopardy!” podcast earlier this month and revealed that he’s thinking of giving contestants cash for answering all the clues in one category correctly.

“It’s a moment in the studio; it’s a great thing,” Davies said.

He added that the cash bonus will be a completely separate and extra reward and would not affect who won the game.

He continued: “It might also give incentive to people who are trailing to try and go into a category and get something from the game beyond their second or third place prize.”

Bialik, 46, and Ken Jennings, 47, have taken on hosting duties for “Jeopardy!” following the ousting of the show’s former executive producer, Mike Richards, last year.
