Adele scoffs at Beyonce’s concert dress code: ‘I ain’t wearing silver’

“Rumor has it” that Adele defied Queen Bey’s proclamation.

Like any good fan, the superstar was scrambling to follow superstar Beyonce’s instructions to wear all silver during the “Formation” singer’s birthday concert on Labor Day.

After throwing a fit to find the perfect ‘fit, she reportedly opted for comfort over the Queen’s orders.

According to a video posted to X (formerly Twitter), the pop star, 35, claimed that she was thinking of wearing a tracksuit after struggling to find silver attire.

“I’m gonna go see Beyonce on Monday; I’m very excited,” said the “Easy on Me” crooner during her Las Vegas residency. “You know, I like to get dressed up every weekend, and obviously this is her birthday show. So I was like, ‘I’m not going in silver.’”

“Like, I love my girl, but I ain’t wearing silver,” continued the vocalist. “I don’t even own silver, alright? So I’m just gonna wear like a black tracksuit/sweatsuit.”

Adele then revealed that she had been up to the early hours of the morning looking for an all-silver outfit.

“I was awake ’til like 3 AM the other night on Amazon buying, like, glitter ball clothes,” grumbled the singer. “She asked everyone to dress up so I’m gonna look really cheap in like a disco ball.”

Adele laughs with Rich Paul and their invited guests as she makes faces and shows off her long nails and arm tattoo from her VIP box at Beyonce’s celeb-filled birthday show inside SoFi Stadium in Calif.

“My birthday wish is to celebrate with you wearing your most fabulous silver fashions to the shows 8.23 – 9.22,” wrote the “Crazy In Love” singer on Instagram. “We’ll surround ourselves in a shimmering human disco ball each night. Everybody mirroring each other’s joy. Virgo season together in the house of Chrome.”

Adele’s flat-out refusal to follow the request left several fans giggling.

“Adele’s late-night glitter ball shopping spree sounds like the ultimate Beyoncé birthday party preparation,” laughed one fan.

“I could see being awake until 3 am on Amazon buying glitter ball clothes being something I’ll have in common with Adele someday, quite frankly,” joked a second person.

“Staying up until 3 am shopping for glittery ballroom attire on Amazon sounds like a future shared experience with Adele,” gushed a third person.

Adele was not the only A-lister to support the 42-year-old singer.

Kim Kardashian and her family were present to cheer on the singer while Pop icon Katy Perry also attended the festivities donning an all-silver outfit while “roaring” her delight.
