All the eras of the Taylor Swift ‘Eras Tour,’ so far

As fans put on their bejeweled outfits and follow Taylor Swift into the “Lavender Haze” of her soon to be international ‘Eras Tour,’ we can’t help but reminisce about the whirlwind past four months.

It’s fair to say that all Swifties are in their ‘Eras’ era and after all we’ve seen, it just “Hits Different.” From songs releases, special guests, rain shows, dating dramas and beyond, the ‘Eras Tour’ has been a “Gold Rush” of surprises.

Now as Taylor moves deeper into the second leg of her tour, we thought we’d take a note out of her playbook and dive into the “Eras’ ‘ of the ‘Eras Tour’ highlighting all the wildest and most memorable moments of the icon’s sold-out performances month by month.

Before the “Eras’ era
October through November 2022

Taylor released her tenth studio album “Midnights” at midnight on October 21 and “Midnights (3 am)” three hours later. The double release had fans reeling over the possibility of a tour and they were happy to find out on Nov. 1 that their “Wildest Dreams” had come true. On November 15, Ticketmaster went live for a verified fan presale of tickets that ended in utter disaster. As you may recall, their site crashed and a hoard of angry Swifties voiced their dissatisfaction with the ticketing platform. Soon after, Taylor issued an apology to fans for the virtual hurdles they had to endure.

The ‘Eras’ Era
March 2023

On March 17, the tour kicked off in Glendale, AZ! The first seven shows were pretty much pure bliss. Fans saw Tay’s costumes, staging and set lists for the first time and it marked the countdown to Taylor for so many. On opening night, Tay treated her fans with an acoustic set which included two surprise songs. Soon after, we learned that the two surprise songs will vary from show to show causing much speculation from super fans over what she’ll play at each and every concert. All things ‘Eras’ were on full blast in the launch month of the tour and luckily for Swift there was nothing to shake off quite yet.

The breakup ‘Era’
April 2023

It’s hard for Swifties to look back or even speak about this pivotal moment of the ‘Eras’ Tour, however, to us, this break has been the biggest bombshell of the nationwide trek yet. For those not in the know, Joe Alwynn, Taylor’s boyfriend of six years, broke things off with the pop star in a shocking public breakup. After the heartbreaking news, the singer casually said “Is it me or do we have a lot to catch up on?” while performing in Tampa, FL. Fan speculation for why the split occurred spiraled. Many debated whether there was foul play at hand or not. It wasn’t until after a night out with longtime besties, Blake and Ryan Reynolds, that Swifties began to solidify their theories as the singer’s friends, unfollowed Alwyn on Instagram immediately following the outing.

The Matty Healy ‘Era’
May 2023-present

The second largest tour scandal to date are the rumors that sprung up in early May alleging that Swift had a new boyfriend: 1975 frontman Matty Healy. The news almost broke the web with fans’ confusion and dislike barreling full throttle on social media. Rumors started to spread with no confirmation anywhere on whether or not the recently single Swift had a new beau. It seemed to become more legitimate as Healy was spotted at multiple shows and entering Swift’s Nashville condo on May 6. The pair were seen again in New York kissing on May 11. Swift told fans at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, MA that “she’s just never been this happy,” making her split from Alwyn seem like old news. Trouble in paradise however was not far behind such positive comments as recent news claims that the duo has split after just one month.

The jaw drop ‘Era’
May 2023- June 2023

As if the ‘Eras Tour’ itself weren’t enough, Taylor didn’t come to play during her mid-tour dates — she’s always delivering something new.

On May 5 in Nashville, she announced that “Speak Now (Taylor’s Version)” will be released July 7 and include multiple unheard vault tracks.

Two nights later, the singer went on after a four-hour storm delay performing till 3 a.m. to make sure her fans got to see her.

Then, on May 13, Taylor interrupted her song “Bad Blood’ in order to protect a fan who was being berated by a security guard at  one of her shows in Philadelphia.

Come May 24, Taylor went big when she announced the release of “Karma” feat. Ice Spice as well as her “Midnights (Til Dawn Edition).”

To pile on even more, she also announced that she would be selling a CD exclusively to in-person Metlife Stadium fans in New Jersey that featured an unreleased song called “You’re Losing Me.”

The present ‘Era’

Of course, we’ve left out so many amazing moments from along the way (we simply couldn’t fit them all!).

There’s only one thing that we recommend to fellow Swifties who want to experience whatever Taylor’s next ‘Era’ might be:

The best way to see experience all the madness is live.
