Alleged teen sex predator punched outside Las Vegas courtroom: video

A man accused of sexually assaulting a teenage girl was punched in the face outside of a Las Vegas courtroom, video of the clash shows.

Yousuf Azami, 59, appeared in court on Tuesday for his preliminary hearing on charges of kidnapping, lewdness and sexual assault on a teenage girl, KLAS reported.

At some point before the hearing, Azami stepped out of the courtroom and started walking down the hallway of the Las Vegas Justice Court, video obtained by the outlet shows.

Glenn Cromwell Jr., believed to be connected to the victim in the case, then gets up from a bench where he’d been sitting and follows Azami down the hall and confronts him, video shows.

The two appear to briefly exchange words before Cromwell socked Azami right in the face — hard enough to knock him on his backside, according to the clip.

Cromwell continues to hit and kick Azami as several people, including a police officer, sprint towards them and break up the fight.

Cromwell was taken into custody and charged with battery, according to KLAS.

In Azami’s case, he was charged after a teen fled to Mirage Hotel on Sept. 3 and reported that he allegedly raped her. The girl’s age was not disclosed in court documents, but she was either 14 or 15 at the time of the assault.

The teen told police she was walking around looking to “get something to smoke and eat” when she encountered Azami in a marijuana dispensary parking lot. She got in his car and they drove to his apartment.

While at his place, the girl began to doze off when Azami laid down behind her.

“She stated she felt his pelvis ‘grinding’ against her and he was not wearing any clothes,” according to court documents.

The girl asked Azami to stop, took a shower and fled the apartment wearing a piece of the suspect’s clothing.

Near the Mirage, she found a man picking up his wife and told him that “she had been kidnapped and raped and needed police,” documents said.

Azami, a native of Afghanistan and an actor, denied having any sexual contact with the teenager, police said. He also said he did not know the girl’s age.

He was arrested and released on a $5,000 bail, KLAS reported. He’s due back in court on Feb. 20.

Cromwell was released on his own recognizance and is scheduled to appear next on March 19.

The fracas took place in the same building where a man jumped over the bench and tackled a judge after she denied him probation.
