American Airlines offers passenger 5K free miles after man fondles himself

An outraged Florida woman claims a man fondled himself while sitting next to her on an American Airlines flight — and the airline did nothing but offer her 5,000 free miles, roughly $59, to make up for it while the creep walked away unscathed when they landed.

The victim said she was traveling from Orlando to Dallas last week and seated next to a man who engaged her in casual conversation, Action News Jax reported.

After telling her he was en route to visit his daughter and grandson, he asked if she wanted to have a drink.

The woman refused, and then noticed the man putting his hand in his pants shortly thereafter.

“He was looking directly at me and, like, his body kind of pivoted and (was) facing towards me,” she told the station.

“I can see that his fingers were up his shorts, and they were raised all the way up to his groin area. And he was just, like, fondling himself.”

The woman captured the lewd conduct on her cellphone before getting out of her seat and alerting the flight attendants, who put her in another row.

The victim recorded the man fondling himself just a few feet away.

The clip shows a man moving his hand inside his pants.

“I was, like, you know what now, like, what do we do from here? Like, do I file an incident report? Like, you know, do I get an escort? Like, something, because I feel unsafe at this point,” she said she told the crew.

But the victim said no further action was taken, and that her tormentor was able to saunter off the plane after touching down.

The victim said she was offered 5,000 free miles to compensate her for the incident.

She later called the airline to relay her ordeal, and a customer service representative told her to fill out an online report.

But rather than provide her with justice, the company instead comped her some free miles.

“As a courtesy for your experience on the flight, we’re going to reward you 5,000 miles, which I thought was such a slap in the face,” she told Action News Jax.

According to WalletHub data, 5,000 American Airlines miles have an average value of around $59.

The woman claims flight attendants did not follow up on her complaint.

Exasperated, she then contacted local police in Dallas, who said the airline did not follow protocol and that the matter would have to be taken up by the FBI since it occurred on a plane.

“This person should be held accountable,” the victim said.

An American Airlines spokesperson said they are following up on the incident.

“We strive to create a safe and comfortable environment for our customers,” she said. “A member of our team has been in contact with the customer to learn more about her experience and address her concerns.”

The spokesperson added that the matter has been referred to the FBI.
