‘Always in my heart’ – De Gea posts emotional farewell message as Man Utd exit confirmed
15 HOURS AGO
“Onana was Ten Hag’s goalkeeper when the Dutch side reached the Champions League semi-final before the Cameroon international moved to Inter, reaching the Champions League final last season. The Italian club want £51.5million for their keeper, with the deal still at its very early stages despite a willingness to do business from all parties.
“United are yet to make a formal offer but have verbally discussed the deal with Inter, with personal terms also yet to be discussed with the player. Ten Hag’s pre-season matches start on July 12 against Leeds and his squad will fly to America for a tour later this month.”
Real will not bid for Mbappe
Despite recent events between Kylian Mbappe and Paris Saint-Germain,m Real Madrid remain committed to waiting to sign him next summer when he is available on a free transfer.
“There is no link and no possibility of opening dialogue between the two teams, neither for Mbappe nor for any other player, and they have made that clear over and over again.
“What they no longer talk about is that alleged agreement with the Frenchman to arrive at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu.
“For that to happen, next January 1, he must have signed a contract with Real Madrid and for that reason the Spanish club’s leaders are not upset by everything that is happening with Mbappe, and the possible departure of the PSG striker.”
Chelsea value Lukaku at £40m
After seeing Romelu Lukaka force his way out of Stamford Bridge, Chelsea are ready to do business on a permanent sale for the Belgian striker.
They have decided that £40 million will be enough, with a couple of clubs interested.
“Juventus and Saudi Pro League side Al Hilal have also expressed their interest but Lukaku has been set on a return to Inter, where he spent last season on loan.
“Inter met with Lukaku’s lawyer at the end of last week but their £23m offer has failed to convince Chelsea, who wish to recoup a greater portion of the £97.5m they paid to buy the Belgian in 2021.”
Maguire wanted by two clubs
Tottenham and Newcastle are linked to Harry Maguire, with The Sun believing that the player will be stripped of the captaincy by Erik ten Hag.
“Maguire has so far kept the role of club skipper, despite starting only eight Premier League games last season.
“Openings are limited but a pay hike due to United’s Champions League return could turn off suitors.
“There was interest from West Ham — a loan move was snubbed in January — while Spurs and Newcastle have been linked to bids.
“United must sell to fund more big buys after Mason Mount’s £55million arrival and with the takeover saga muddying Ten Hag’s plans.”
