Ange Postecoglou reacts to Harry Kane transfer links to Bayern Munich: ‘No one has spoken to me from Munich’
Ange Postecoglou quelled the transfer speculation surrounding Harry Kane after downplaying their conversation during Tottenham’s pre-season trip to Australia.
Postecoglou was speaking in a press conference looking ahead to a pre-season friendly against West Ham on Tuesday, and revealed the relatively mundane nature of his talks with Kane.

He said: “I had a good chat with Harry. It was nothing earth-shattering as people are seeking.
“Just a good chat, I introduced myself, and we spoke mainly about the club, where it’s at and where he thinks we can improve.
“It’s not a specific vision for one person, it’s about the group and we’re perfectly aligned on that – we want to see a successful team this year.
“He’s here, and while he’s here, he’s totally committed to what we’re doing, and that’s the way I’ve seen things.
“No one has spoken to me from Munich. If other clubs want to talk about our contracted players, that’s more of an issue for them than us.
“We’ve got nearly a month until the season starts, the transfer window’s still open, so we’ll see what transpires.”
Despite appearing to be on the same page, there is a strong feeling of confidence from Bayern that they will able to lure the 29-year-old to Bavaria.
Spurs missed out on European qualification on the final day of last season after finishing eighth, missing out on the consolation prize of the Europa Conference League to Aston Villa.
Following their pre-season jaunt Down Under, the start of the Premier League season will be drawing ever closer.
Postecoglou’s side begin their campaign against Brentford on August 13.
