Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez file for divorce on same day
Their lives have been changed “For Good.”
Ariana Grande and her estranged husband, Dalton Gomez, officially said “Thank you, Next” Monday after the pair simultaneously filed for divorce, reports TMZ.
Grande’s lawyer, Laura Wasser, cited “irreconcilable differences” in the filing, which was supported by Gomez’s attorney who filed shortly after.
Their date of separation was listed as Feb. 20, 2023.
Sources close to the couple told the media outlet, that the “7 Rings” songstress, 30, and Gomez, 28, worked out their assets before the couple officially called it quits.
The source claims that the “Wicked” star plans on cutting her ex-husband a check before going their separate ways.
When asked by TMZ why it took so long for the couple to file for divorce — Gomez and Grande made the announcement in July — the source claimed that “they’ve been really caring and respectful of one another every step of this process.”
The Post reached out to Grande and Gomez for comment.
Grande’s official split comes mere days after the Grammy winner showed support by “liking” a photo posted on Instagram from her co-star-turned-boyfriend Ethan Slater, 31.
The Tony-winning actor recently returned to social media following his own divorce from Lily Jay, with whom he shares a one-year-old son.
It was confirmed by Page Six in July that both Gomez and Grande had separated with a source claiming “they came to the decision together. They were having problems before January, but they want to remain best friends.”
Rumors of Grande’s separation from the luxury real estate agent began to swirl after she was spotted at the Wimbledon tennis tournament in London without her wedding ring.
Days later, however, it was revealed that the “Dangerous Woman” had been romantically involved with Slater, who was still married at the time.
Shortly after news of the relationship broke, Slater immediately filed for divorce.
According to Page Six, Gomez attempted to reconcile their marriage by flying out to London where his ex-wife was filming her upcoming blockbuster in January but “it didn’t work out.”
“They’ve been really good friends throughout the entire process, and their friends and families have been trying to protect them,” a source shared.
Since the explosive revelation, the “Bang, Bang” singer has been giving the Broadway star “space” as he attempts to “work things out” with his estranged wife.
According to TMZ, Slater and Jay, 30, have remained in contact daily regarding their child, with the “SpongeBob SquarePants: The Musical” star “desperately” wanting to co-parent.
