Arteta denies he was trying to 'send a message' with late changes in loss to West Ham

“Arsenal bowed out of the Carabao Cup after losing 3-1 to West Ham in the fourth round. The Gunners were below their best and Mikel Arteta brought on Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli and Martin Odegaard late in the game. Arteta said the changes were not intended to send a message to those who started, and was “very disappointed” with the performance by his side.”
