Atkinson, Hartley and Bashir earn first England Test call-ups
“England have named three uncapped players in a 16-player squad for the five Test tour of India – but all-rounder Chris Woakes has not been included. Surrey fast-bowler Gus Atkinson earns his first call-up, as do spinners Tom Hartley of Lancashire, and Somerset’s Shoaib Bashir. Rehan Ahmed returns to the squad, having taken five wickets on his Test debut in Pakistan last December.”
