Australian freestyle skier Jakara Anthony crowned Crystal Globe winner in moguls

Jakara Anthony bounced back from single moguls disappointment to take gold in the doubles event and wrap up the overall Crystal Globe at Deer Valley.

The Australian unexpectedly crashed out of Thursday’s competition on the famous Champion Run but responded in style at the next opportunity.

Anthony beat home hope Jaelin Kauf for her 11th win of the season, enough to secure her second overall World Cup title.

Meanwhile, Ikuma Horishima closed the gap to Mikael Kingsbury in the overall standings with a fourth victory of the season.

Frenchman Benjamin Cavet reached the big final in his best performance of the season but Horishima had too much for him in the final. There was another American bronze, too, courtesy of Dylan Marcellini.
