Australian Open Day 11 Order of Play: Schedule and how to watch Carlos Alcaraz, Linda Noskova, Daniil Medvedev

Day 11 at the 2024 Australian Open features four singles quarter-finals as the battle to be crowned champion hots up.

The top half of the women’s draw has seen world No. 1 Iga Swiatek, world No. 3 Elena Rybakina and world No. 5 Jessica Pegula all lose earlier than expected.

The highest-ranked player remaining is 12th seed Qinwen Zheng, who will look to make her first Grand Slam semi-final when she faces Anna Kalinskaya.

The other quarter-final see Linda Noskova take on qualifier Dayana Yastremska.

On the men’s side it’s a different story, with four top-10 seeds in quarter-final action on Wednesday.

Ninth seed Hubert Hurkacz meets third seed Daniil Medvedev, while second seed Carlos Alcaraz takes on sixth seed Alexander Zverev.

Top men’s match – Alexander Zverev v Carlos Alcaraz

Carlos Alcaraz has been hotting up throughout the Australian Open.

Djokovic looking ‘ominous’ says Henman as experts react to quarter-final win

He will be looking to fire again when he takes on Alexander Zverev, who leads their head-to-head record 4-3.

Zverev won the last time the pair met at the Nitto ATP Finals, but it was Alcaraz who prevailed in straight sets in their last Grand Slam meeting at the same stage of the 2023 US Open.

Top women’s match – Linda Noskova v Dayana Yastremska

She then advanced past 19th seed Elina Svitolina, who retired after three games due to injury, and now has a chance of making her first Grand Slam semi-final.

The 19-year-old has never previously been past the second round of a major.

Yastremska is aiming to follow the path of Emma Raducanu by winning a Grand Slam as a qualifier.

She beat 18th seed Victoria Azarenka in the last 16 and has only dropped one set so far in the main draw.

“She’s a good player,” Yastremska said about Noskova. “I saw a couple of her matches. I think it’s going to be a tough but interesting match.”
