Baby nicknamed ‘McFlurry’ after mom gives birth in McDonald’s parking lot in snowstorm

A Wisconsin mom nicknamed her newborn baby boy “McFlurry” after she gave birth in a McDonald’s parking lot in the middle of a snowstorm, according to Fox News Digital.

Analysia Beck, of Muskego, felt contractions in the middle of the night on Jan. 12 — two weeks ahead of her due date — and woke up her husband to tell him to pack the car for the hospital.

“So I had him call the hospital and the hospital, of course, is asking all these questions, and they asked what my plan for pain was, and I [responded], ‘An epidural immediately’,” the expecting mother told the outlet.

But little “McFlurry” — whose real name is Micah Daniel Beck — couldn’t wait until they reached a medical center.

Beck, who has two older children, knew that they weren’t going to make it in time.

“I was like, ‘No, like, it’s happening right now. We need to pull over,’” she said.

The couple pulled into the closest parking lot to them, at a McDonald’s, and Beck hopped into the trunk of their SUV, ready to push.

“Halfway through, I was just lying in our trunk, and I was like, ‘Oh, my gosh. This is happening at McDonald’s … I can’t believe it,” Beck said of her situation.

The couple called 911, but by the time paramedics reached the Golden Arches parking lot, baby Micha was already crowning — all as snow began falling down, eventually totaling 15 inches in Muskego.

“As soon as I knew the paramedics were there, I pushed … [and] within minutes, they pretty much ran in and caught the baby,” the mom of three told the outlet.

The combination of the winter weather and McDonald’s parking lot inspired the new baby’s “McFlurry” nickname. Other options included “Mickey D’s,” “McBaby” and “Small Fry,” according to Fox.

The atypical birth was quite the experience for Beck — but also for the first responders who showed up in the snowstorm.

First responder Brianna Baltutis, with the Hales Corners Fire Department, told the publication that she was only expecting to transfer the mom to the hospital when she and her partner were dispatched — not to witness the birth in the parking lot.

“We got there and we were thinking we’d get her loaded up and to the hospital, before she actually delivered the baby,” she said.

Baltutis, 20, said she was thrilled to be a part of Beck and “McFlurry’s” story.

“For me, there are people who will go through the fire service for 30-plus years and they won’t ever deliver a baby, so I think that’s super, super cool,” she said.

The young paramedic said it was also a great moment since often jobs she’s called to do not have happy endings, according to Fox.
