‘Bachelorette’ alum Josh Seiter alive, blames ‘hacking’

Josh Seiter, a contestant on Kaitlyn Bristowe’s season of “The Bachelorette,” announced Tuesday that he is alive — one day after a statement posted to his Instagram page claimed he had died.

“Hey guys, as you can see, I am alive and well. My account was hacked,” Seiter, 36, said in a video shared on the platform Tuesday.

“For the last 24 hours, I’ve been trying desperately to get into it. Somebody was playing a cruel joke and mocking my mental illness, and the struggles I’ve gone through with depression.”

Seiter, an exotic dancer and OnlyFans creator, apologized for the “confusion” and told fans he and his team were working to figure out who was behind the hacking.

The Post has contacted Seiter for comment.

Seiter, a 2013 graduate of the Chicago-Kent College of Law, has openly discussed his mental health struggles, previously revealing he’s a suicide attempt survivor.

The statement posted Monday about his “death” has since been deleted from his Instagram page.

It read: “It is with an extremely heavy heart that we share the tragic news of Joshua’s unexpected passing. As all who knew him can attest, Joshua was an incredibly bright light in an increasingly dim world.”

“His fearless voice and indomitable spirit helped thousands of people in their darkest moments feel just a little less alone,” the statement continued. “Although our heartache at Joshua’s passing pains us beyond measure, we find comfort in knowing that he is finally at peace.”

The post purported to be from his family included the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.

Seiter was sent home the first night of Bristowe’s “Bachelorette” journey in 2015.

On that season, 25 suitors met Bristowe and Britt Nilsson and voted for the woman they wanted to be the show’s lead.

Seiter, who became an exotic dancer to support himself in law school, greeted the ladies by taking off his shirt and arguing that his ego would be hurt if he didn’t move on to the next round — a first impression he later claimed was “fed” to him by producers.

Bristowe won the election — much to Seiter’s disappointment.

He later told the Chicago Tribune that he didn’t want to be on the show if Bristowe was picked because he wasn’t attracted to her.

He admitted to being on the show not for love — a storyline that plays out almost every season of the franchise — but to promote his career as an exotic dancer.

“It was mostly about kind of, like, exposure and getting my name out there more,” Seiter told the outlet. “That whole finding a wife thing to me was kind of a ludicrous idea.”

Seiter previously claimed he was a suicide survivor.

Seiter would go on to date women from reality shows such as “90 Day Fiancé” and “Love After Lockup.”

Earlier this year, he came out as pansexual and said he was dating a fellow exotic dancer named David.
