Beyoncé concert marriage ‘proposal’ dragged online: ‘So awkward’
He struggled to put a ring on it.
A man had the creative idea to propose to his girlfriend during Beyoncé’s “Renaissance” tour stop in London, but the execution was a bit painful.
Or as one TikTok user put it, the apparent proposal is “stressful” to watch.
In a clip uploaded by Harvey Kindlon — who goes by @harveykindlon on the platform — a circle forms around the unidentified pair as Bey sings her 2011 ballad “1+1.”
The man drops to one knee and holds out his hand for his single lady to hold.
She takes his hand while holding a stack of paper cups at the same time, which makes the moment a little awkward.
“Bitch, drop the cups,” Kindlon can be heard advising in the video.
As he says that, the man drops the engagement ring, which was not in a box, on the ground, and his future Mrs., as well as other fans, help point it out to get the proposal back on track.
But there’s one more hiccup: the man attempts to put the ring on the woman’s right hand before a bystander steps in, seemingly urging him: “to the left, to the left.”
The woman appears to cry, placing her head in her hands as her fiancé rises, gives her a hug, and raises a celebratory fist in the air.
The TikTok has more than 402,000 views and nearly 1,000 comments from people reacting to what the uploader called “the messiest proposal.”
“This was so stressful to watch,” the top comment reads.
“Nah I feel so awkward watching this?! I have so many questions,” another person wrote.
Someone else admitted: “Everything about this cracks me up.”
“Am Smiling n cringing simultaneously 🤣,” said another, who enjoyed the show within a show.
Other users wondered if the proposal was even real — or if the couple even knew each other.
“Do they know each other? Why does this feel….like it’s 2 strangers LOL,” someone asked.
“Has to be a stunt cause no way,” another claimed.
“My guy looked uncertain the whole time 😅😅,” someone else nervously laughed.
One person claimed that the couple should invite the crowd to their future wedding because “without all of them the proposal wouldn’t have happened.”
“But the funniest story ever to tell their children later 😂😂😂,” another person added.
