Billie Eilish speaks out about fans throwing things on stage

Fans showering the object of their affection with various objects while on stage may have been cast as the hot new way everyone is behaving terribly — but at least one veteran musician is throwing cold water on the concept.

“I’ve been getting hit on stage with things for like, literally, six years, I don’t know why this is like new,” Eilish told the Hollywood Reporter on the ‘Barbie’ red carpet this week. “People just get excited and it can be dangerous.”

“We get it, but don’t do it,” the “Your Power” singer said, admitting that it’s “absolutely infuriating” for an artist standing in front of blinding lights to have a foreign object come flying at them from out of nowhere.

“Don’t throw things on stage,” she urged.

“But we love you,” she hastened to add. “It’s very sweet.”

Eilish was accompanied by brother and fellow musician Finneas, who confessed to feeling similarly conflicted.

“I have mixed feelings about it, because when you’re up there it blows. But you know it’s out of love and they’re just trying to give you something,” he said.

Whether it’s out of love, or a vengeful want to leave a mark on music history, fans seem to have been unusually caught up in the excitement at a string of high-profile concerts in recent weeks.

The most recent victim is “As It Was” artist Harry Styles, who doubled over in pain after being struck in the eye at a concert in Austria.

At a show in NYC, singer-songwriter Bebe Rexha was hit in the face with a cell phone. According to a criminal complaint, accused cell phone chucker Nicolas Malvagna, 27, said, “I was trying to see if I could hit her with the phone at the end of the show because it would be funny.”

Rexha was left with a shiny black eye and stitches.

Days later, Ava Max was slapped by an unruly fan who jumped onstage in Los Angeles.

“He slapped me so hard that he scratched the inside of my eye,” the “My Head & My Heart” artist tweeted an update later that night:

Meanwhile, across the pond, one Pink fan most probably did not fulfill their mother’s last wish when throwing a bag of her ashes at the “Who Knew” singer at the British Summer Time festival in London’s Hyde Park.

No-nonsense Brit Adele has gone so far as to “f – – king dare” fans to toss anything at her. The singer won’t put up with a lack of “etiquette” at her shows.

Bracelets are being used for destruction instead of friendship. Kelsea Ballerini spoke out about being “more scared than hurt” when she was hit in the face with one.

Still, some artists are having fun with the bizarre trend.

Lil Nas X jokingly asked “who threw they p – – y onstage?” after a sex toy was thrown at his feet.

Drake tried, and failed, to catch a cell phone flying at his wrist. He followed “God’s Plan,” never missing a beat as he watched it plummet to the ground, soon to be surrounded by other phones, bras and shoes.
