Blake Shelton exits ‘The Voice’ with Adam Levine dig

Blake Shelton had the last word with former “The Voice” co-judge Adam Levine on Tuesday.

The country singer’s final show aired yesterday, and he left the set after dissing the Maroon 5 frontman, 44, in a closing remark.

Levine had returned to the NBC stage to perform the band’s new song “Middle Ground” for the show’s season finale.

Ahead of the episode, Shelton, 46, joked to “E! News”: “I’m glad that Adam is singing and not speaking.”

“Because every time he speaks, he says really stupid stuff,” he added.

“When he was a coach on the show, I’ll still say he was hands down the worst coach of anything that I’ve ever seen in my life,” the “Austin” crooner quipped.

As for whether or not he’s sad to leave, Shelton noted that the ending is “kind of a blur to me.”

“On the way over here today, I was just thinking about this whole chapter of my life,” he sighed. Shelton’s last broadcast was on May 23, and Gina Miles was crowned the winner of “The Voice.”

Host Carson Daly gave Shelton a sweet tribute during the night, saying onstage that there was “not a dry eye in the house.”

After Levine — who exited the show in 2019 — sang “Middle Ground,” Shelton raced up to the stage and gave his old pal a big hug.

“I can’t imagine tonight without Adam being back for Blake’s final show . . . It’s special to have Adam here,” Daly said as the two bros got close.

Reba McEntire will enter the fold for Season 24 and is taking over Shelton’s place.

“There’s a new Coach in town! See you all this Fall!” the “Reba” star, 68, tweeted earlier this month.

However, the country music icon made guest appearances on season 23, acting as a Mega Mentor for contestants. She also took on a Battle Adviser role for Shelton’s team way back in the competition series’ inaugural season in 2011.

“It’s so much fun to be back on ‘The Voice’ again,” the Oklahoma native said last month on “The Jennifer Hudson Show.”

“It’s always a lot of fun to give advice because I study people when they perform and I want to be touched when they’re singing to me,” McEntire explained.

The “This Love” singer previously opened up about Shelton’s departure, telling Entertainment Tonight this past March: “It’s about time!”
