Bone fragment discovered on hacksaw tossed by Brian Walshe

Investigators discovered a bone fragment on a hacksaw that authorities say accused murderer Brian Walshe tossed in the trash after allegedly killing and dismembering his wife, Ana, according to court documents.

Appearing in Norfolk Superior Court on Thursday, Walshe, 47, pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder, misleading police, obstruction of justice, and improper conveyance of a human body.

Although a body has not been recovered, police say they have unearthed a slew of evidence linking Walshe, an art dealer and father of three, to his 39-year-old wife’s death and disappearance.

Along with the bone fragment, authorities also found pieces of clothing and jewelry that Walshe said his wife wore when she left their home New Year’s Day, her vaccination card, and Volkswagen keys from a dumpster near his mom’s home in Swampscott, Mass., according to court documents obtained by Fox News.

Damning photos released this week also show Walshe buying a hacksaw along with a bevy of cleaning supplies hours after his wife mysteriously disappeared, according to a prosecutors’ statement in the case.

Another photo shows Walshe tossing what appears to be a heavy trash bag into a dumpster outside a Massachusetts apartment.

Prosecutors allege that Walshe killed his successful real estate agent wife, who worked during the week in Washington, DC, after discovering that she was having an affair — which he learned from a private investigator who was hired to follow her.

The defense claims that there was no affair and that Walshe’s mother had hired the private investigator to tail Ana.
