Border Patrol union mocks Biden’s trip to southern border

The Border Patrol union mocked President Biden’s visit to the southern border in Texas this week.

The National Border Patrol Council posted a fake joke itinerary for the 81-year-old president’s trek down to Brownsville, Texas in a tweet on Saturday — accompanied by a photo of Biden fast asleep in a beach chair.

“Board AF1, take nap,” the post said. “Wake up in place called Brownsville. Read large teleprompter message, ‘It’s all Trump’s fault.’”

“Board AF1, ask who people in green uniforms were, told they ‘strap’  illegal aliens, express horror, take nap,” the union’s tweet continued. “Wake up, call a lid, hit beach, take nap.”

While visiting the border city on Thursday, Biden called on Trump — who was also visiting the border about 325 miles away at Eagle Pass, Texas — to stop “playing politics” with the migrant crisis and urged Congressional Republicans to support his bipartisan border security  bill.

“The majority of Democrats and Republicans in both houses support this legislation”until someone came along and said ‘don’t do that that’ll benefit the incumbent’,” Biden told reporters in Brownsville. “That’s a hell of a way to do business in America for such a serious problem.”

Biden’s handling of the border threatens to hurt him politically ahead of the November general election amid widespread criticism with record numbers of migrants illegally crossing into the US every day.

In December alone CBP reported more than 300,000 encounters — an all-time record, Fox News reported.

At Eagle Pass, which has been ground zero for illegal border crossings, Trump blasted what he called a “Joe Biden invasion” of American territory. 

He claimed the country is “being overrun by the migrant crime —  including the recent murder of 22-year-old Georgia nursing student Laken Riley, who was allegedly slain by an illegal migrant from Venezuela.

“The parents are devastated and they’re incredible people,” Trump said. “This is a Joe Biden invasion. A Biden invasion. I call him crooked Joe… the most incompetent president we’ve ever had.” 

The Biden administration has tried to pin the blame on the migrant crisis on Republicans who have refused to support border reform bills.

The Border Patrol Union frequently takes shots at the president. Ahead of his trip to the border,  National Border Patrol Council President Brandon Judd called the gesture “too little, too late.”
