Renan’s the Real deal

Real Madrid are in the market for another Brazilian wonderkid this summer. The Spanish champions are eyeing up Zenit St Petersburg defender Robert Renan, who only just joined the Russian club last month.

Spanish media outlet Sport report: “Los Blancos, on the instructions of Juni Calafat, director of international football, are looking to sign 19-year-old centre-back Robert Renan.

“He is the leader of Brazil’s defensive line [at the South American Under-20 Championship] and has just signed for Zenit St Petersburg. His signing could require an investment of 30 million euros.

“Juni Calafat is convinced that the player is ready to join the first team next season.”

Barca chase ‘Brazilian Suarez’

Barcelona are hoping to complete the signing of Brazilian wonderkid Vitor Roque this summer. The 17-year-old is valued at over €30 million by Athletico Paranaense and has already been dubbed as the ‘Brazilian Luis Suarez’.

Sport believe: “Barcelona believe there will not be another Endrick case with Vitor Roque, the Ath. Paranaense No 9 who turns 18 at the end of this month and who is on the list of possible signings for next summer. The ‘Brazilian Luis Suárez’ would arrive at Barça to fill the role as Robert Lewandowski understudy and grow under the tutelage of the Polish striker.

“The ‘Furacao’ have valued their player at 30 million euros plus variables that can reach 5 million, a price determined precisely by the sale of Endrick to Madrid.”

Spurs eye Palace centre-back

Tottenham Hotspur are hoping to improve their options at centre-back this summer, with Clement Lenglet set to return to Barcelona after a season-long loan in north London. Additionally, Davinson Sanchez’s time at Tottenham is expected to come to an end this summer. Spurs are exploring the possibility of signing Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi.

The Mail confirm: “Spurs will look to sign as many as two new centre-backs ahead of next season with Guehi prominently in their plans.

“Palace want to keep Guehi given his huge importance to Patrick Vieira’s team, but the club will consider selling if they receive a big offer. Any bids in-excess of £45million could tempt Palace.

“Inter Milan defenders Alessandro Bastoni and Milan Skriniar and Red Bull Leipzig’s centre back Josko Gvardiol are also on Tottenham’s radar, though those three deals will be difficult to pull off.”

Five ‘serious’ bidders in for Man Utd

There are five “serious” bidders who are ready to battle for the opportunity to complete a takeover at Manchester United. This involves a group of Qatari investors, Sir Jim Ratcliffe and “multiple parties” from Saudi Arabia.

The Mail reveals: “A group of Qatari private investors are to launch an attempt at a full takeover of the club. It can now be reported that they are likely to face opposition from four rivals, ahead of next Friday’s ‘soft deadline’ for offers, with some bids already made.

“Aside from Qatar, there is interest from the United States, while Sir Jim Ratcliffe, Britain’s richest man and a lifelong United supporter, has announced his attention to bid.

“It is understood that multiple parties from Saudi Arabia, which do not include the owners of Newcastle United, have been given such access. Whether they will now go on to make a formal offer is unclear.”
