Brie Larson sobs meeting Jennifer Lopez at Golden Globes 2024

Brie Larson broke down sobbing when she met her idol Jennifer Lopez at Sunday night’s 2024 Golden Globes.

Larson, 34, was being interviewed by “Entertainment Tonight” host Kevin Frazier on the red carpet before the ceremony at the Beverly Hilton hotel when she spotted Lopez.

“Oh my god, I’m going to cry!” Larson said. “I can’t deal with J.Lo.”

Lopez reached out to hug Larson, who said, “You mean so much to me!”

Larson said she’s idolized Lopez since her 1997 movie “Selena,” about singer Selena Quintanilla, the “Queen of Tejano Music,” who was assassinated by her manager, Yolanda Saldívar, in 1995 at the age of 23.

“I saw ‘Selena’ and it made me want to be an actor and you’ve always meant so much to me,” Larson said to Lopez.

“Oh my god, don’t make me cry!” Lopez replied before the women embraced, wiping tears away from their eyes.

“I”m going to have to to do a shot of tequila or something!” Larson exclaimed.

Larson won an Oscar in 2016 for “Room” and was nominated for her role in the Apple TV+ series “Lessons in Chemistry” on Sunday night.

She’s also starred in “Captain Marvel” and “Avengers: Endgame,” among other movies.

Lopez, 54, was attending the Golden Globes with husband Ben Affleck, 51, who was nominated for the movie “Air” with longtime pal Matt Damon for Best Motion Picture — Musical or Comedy.

The lovebirds, who broke off their engagement in 2004, rekindled their romance in 2021 and married in 2022.

Later in the telecast, Affleck and Damon, wearing matching tuxedos, presented the Best Director — Motion Picture award to “Oppenheimer” helmsman Christopher Nolan.

During the ceremony, Affleck surprised Damon off-camera during a commercial break and they shared a bear hug and a few words.

Lopez has a new single, “Can’t Get Enough” — with a wedding-themed music video — on her new album, “This Is Me … Now.”

“I think it might surprise some people. It’s definitely kind of a meta story about the journey that it takes to get from heartbreak back to love,” she told journalist Marc Malkin on the red carpet.

The Golden Globes, hosted by comedian Jo Koy, aired on CBS.
