Cashier battles shoplifting bear in crazy viral video

A California 7-Eleven employee had quite enough of “Winnie the Moocher” — and his hilariously foul-mouthed battle with the shoplifting black bear was captured on video.

It was just another overnight shift on June 9 at the Olympic Valley franchise — until a supersized sweet tooth lumbered through the sliding doors at 1:30 a.m., looking for chocolate.

Cashier Christopher Kinson proceeded to film the brazen bear-glar which repeatedly stormed his store to steal candy bars.

“Initially, I was surprised. I see the door open, and I don’t see a torso, and I am like, ‘Oh my god. It’s a bear,’ ” Kinson, 54, told Jam Press. “The videos really don’t do it justice. The bear was about 20% to 30% bigger in real life.”

The now-viral footage shows the “thief” pillaging a shelf-full of sweet treats while Kinson threatens: “I’ll kick your ass — or you’ll kill me.”

Unfazed, the bear keeps going as Kinson admonishes, “All right, you had enough to eat. Let’s go!” before eventually bursting into laughter over the absurd situation.

Then, finally fed up with Winnie’s rampage, the cashier hollers, “Get out of here! Get the f – – k out of here, you f – – k!”

Kinson’s profane tirade initially appears to work, as the bear leaves the premises with a mouthful of treats — but then returns moments later to resume its brazen shoplifting.

“Hey dude, that’s it. Get the f – – k out. I’m locking the doors . . . you’re a thief man,” the frustrated clerk shouts desperately at the four-legged snack stealer. “You got no business in here. Get out of here, bitch. I’m the alpha male. Out!”

Despite putting on a brave face, Kinson, who originally hails from Wisconsin, admitted he was on high alert during each hairy incident.

“I always kept my distance, and I had the back door near me, so I could escape if it charged me,” the not-too-traumatized clerk said. “I was scared initially, but they just want to eat. You always have to be careful though. We don’t know how exactly they are thinking.”

However, he said he found it “funny” that the bruin would pilfer only a couple treats at a time, as if trying to be polite. “It’s like it was purposely polite to take one candy bar at a time, it’s almost like it had manners,” mused Kinson.

All told, Smokey raided the store multiple times, “[but] once it got the food that it wanted, it scooted right out the door” after about 30 minutes, Kinson said, whereupon the cashier took the opportunity to block the door.

“You don’t want to become their source of food,” explained Kinson, who improvised a lock using a broom and garbage bags.

At the end of the clip, the bear can be seen throwing his body against the locked door like the authorities trying to get John Belushi and Dan Aykroyd in “The Blues Brothers.”

Meanwhile, this isn’t the first time a bear has invaded a 7-Eleven in search of a nocturnal nosh. In November, a black bear was filmed strolling into one of the convenience stores, also located in Olympic Valley, whereupon he “used” the hand-sanitizer station.
