Cassie says ex Diddy threatened to blow up Kid Cudi’s car
Cassie’s shocking allegations against ex-boyfriend Sean “Diddy” Combs are beyond explosive.
According to a bombshell lawsuit she filed Thursday against the Bad Boy rapper, Cassie claims Combs allegedly threatened to blow up rapper Kid Cudi’s car shortly before a vehicle exploded in his driveway in 2012.
Cassie, 37, whose real name is Casandra Ventura, alleges she was a victim to a decade of abuse from Diddy, whom she dated for years and was romantically linked to in 2007.
In the federal suit she claims that the music mogul beat her for years, forced her to have sex with men as he watched and raped her after their breakup.
As part of her lawsuit, the R&B singer most known for her chart topper “Me & U,” alleged Diddy was sent into a frenzy after she began dating Kid Cudi in 2012.
“In February 2012… Mr. Combs told Ms. Ventura that he was going to blow up Kid Cudi’s car and that he wanted to ensure that Kid Cudi was home with his friends when it happened,” read court documents obtained by The Post. “Around that time, Kid Cudi’s car exploded in his driveway.”
Through a spokeswoman, Kid Cudi confirmed Ms. Ventura’s account to the New York Times that he had a car that exploded.
“This is all true,” he said
The Post has reached out to Ventura, Combs and Kid Cudi’s reps for comment.
Combs’ attorney, Ben Brafman, said his client “vehemently denies these offensive and outrageous allegations.”
“For the past six months, Mr. Combs has been subjected to Ms. Ventura’s persistent demand of $30 million, under the threat of writing a damaging book about their relationship, which was unequivocally rejected as blatant blackmail,” Brafman told The New York Times. “Despite withdrawing her initial threat, Ms. Ventura has now resorted to filing a lawsuit riddled with baseless and outrageous lies, aiming to tarnish Mr. Combs’s reputation and seeking a payday.”
Ventura also issued a statement to the newspaper through her attorney Douglas Wigdor.
“After years in silence and darkness,” she said, “I am finally ready to tell my story, and to speak up on behalf of myself and for the benefit of other women who face violence and abuse in their relationships.”
