Chicago man walks Lake Michigan ‘ice pancakes’ in swim trunks

He’s about to freeze his flapjacks off.

A Chicago life coach braved single-digit temperatures to walk across “ice pancakes” that formed in Lake Michigan this week, a chill-inducing Instagram video showed.

George Donald Miller was clad in just swim trunks, gloves, and socks as he nimbly navigated the flat ice floes along the Windy City’s North Avenue beach Wednesday morning.

He eventually got down on his knees and fully submerged himself in the freezing lake.

Temperatures in Chicago plummeted to a low of 4 degrees Fahrenheit for the day, according to Accuweather.

“This is a deeply meditative and healing practice for me,” Miller told digital creator Craig Shimala, who also shared the footage.

“Doing this, helps me immensely. You can ask my wife, you can ask coworkers, you can ask my family, about the difference cold water exposure has impacted me,” he added, noting that “I know that there is a risk involved, but the risk is actually super minimal in comparison to so many outrageous things I’ve done in my life.”

Miller’s Instagram is full of other photos and videos showing him enjoying ice-cold water around other Chicago locales, including Montrose Harbor.

The life coach – who runs the business EQ Coaching – did not immediately respond to The Post’s request for comment.
