Chicago police officer shot, rushed to hospital

A Chicago police officer was shot Wednesday on the city’s south side. 

The shooting occurred in the 5200 block of S. Spaulding Avenue, Fox Chicago reported. The injured officer was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital.

The condition of the officer was not disclosed as well as details of the shooting.
