Chris Rock ‘unbothered’ after Jada Pinkett Smith remarks
Chris Rock was spotted gettin’ jiggy with it at the Rolling Stones’ album release party for “Hackney Diamonds” — days after Jada Pinkett Smith’s memoir hit stands.
“Chris Rock looked unbothered by all the Jada drama chatting it up with Trevor Noah,” an eyewitness tells The Post about the comedian’s outing.
“Just like everybody else, he didn’t seem to have a plus-one and was mixing and mingling in the all-VIP crowd.”
The Post has contacted reps for Rock for comment.
Rock, 58, and Noah, 39, were joined by several other stars at the bash, including Jimmy Fallon, Mary-Kate Olsen, Elvis Costello, Diana Krall, Taylor Hill, Rachel Weisz, Christie Brinkley, “Hackney Diamonds” producer Andrew Watt, Keegan-Michael Key, Ed Burns and Christy Turlington.
Noah’s ex-girlfriend, Minka Kelly, also made an appearance — alongside her new beau, Imagine Dragons’ Dan Reynolds.
Earlier this week, Pinkett Smith, 52, made headlines over claims she made about Rock in her memoir “Worthy,” which dropped on Tuesday.
In the book, she reflected on her husband Will Smith’s 2022 Oscars scandal when he smacked Rock across the face for making a “G.I. Jane” joke about her bald head, which was due to alopecia. She also spoke about the situation with People.
“Chris came down to the end of the stage and tried to apologize to me,” she explained. “He said, ‘I didn’t mean you any harm.’ I said, ‘I can’t talk about this now, Chris. This is some old s – – t.’ “
“[Do I have] any desire to talk to Chris? Here’s my desire: I just hope that all the misunderstanding around this can be cleared up and that there can be peace,” she continued.
Rock and Pinkett Smith have not spoken since the incident.
The “Girls Trip” actress went on to claim in her book that Rock asked her out years ago, when he heard rumors that she and Smith were divorcing. (Pinkett Smith revealed last week that she and the “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” alum have been secretly separated for the past seven years.)
“I think every summer all the reports would come out that me and Will were getting a divorce. And this particular summer, Chris, he thought that we were getting a divorce. So he called me and basically he was like, ‘I’d love to take you out,’ ” she recalled to People. “And I was like, ‘What do you mean?’ He was like, ‘Well, aren’t you and Will getting a divorce?’ I was like, ‘No. Chris, those are just rumors.’ He was appalled. And he profusely apologized and that was that.”
Despite the recent bombshells, Rock was in good spirits on Thursday night. As he hung out with pal Noah, Lady Gaga surprised the crowd when she joined the Rolling Stones onstage to sing “Sweet Sounds of Heaven.”
Questlove also played DJ sets before and after the legendary rock group’s seven-song set.
This is the Stones’ first album with new material in 18 years. The band’s current lineup consists of Mick Jagger, 80, Keith Richards, 79, and Ronnie Wood,76.
