Conan O’Brien reportedly fired staffer after ‘rude’ restaurant incident
A former staffer of Conan O’Brien revealed Tuesday that the late-night show host once fired a former crew member because they were allegedly rude to a server in a restaurant.
According to former staffer Todd Levin — who wrote for “Conan” from 2010 to 2020 — the 59-year-old comedian got annoyed when the unnamed employee got “impatient and rude,” reports the Independent.
“At ‘Conan’ there was a crew member who was fired because Conan witnessed him being impatient and rude to a server at a restaurant,” tweeted Levin.
“Just remembering that now, for no particular reason.”
The Post reached out to O’Brien and Levin for comment.
The revelation comes hot on the heels of the news that film star and late-night show host James Corden was banned from New York’s Balthazar restaurant after reportedly being “abusive” to one of the servers.
“[He’s] the most abusive customer to my Balthazar servers since the restaurant opened 25 years ago,” said owner Keith McNally.
“I don’t often 86 a customer, to today I 86’d Corden. It did not make me laugh.”
The 44-year-old Brit later called McNally and “apologized profusely,” and the ban was rescinded.
Corden announced in April that he is set to leave the US and “The Late Late Show” in 2023.
