Connecticut man arrested for filming boy in Disney resort bathroom
A Connecticut man has been arrested for filming a 10-year-old boy inside a Disney resort bathroom while his oblivious parents were eating dinner, police said.
Authorities said the minor, from Georgia, entered a restroom stall at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa in Orlando.
At some point, he noticed a phone ascend over the top of his divider that appeared to be filming him.
The boy left and told his parents, and his irate father immediately went with the victim to confront Clayton Snider, 22, of Newhaven, Connecticut.
The father later told police that Snider was loitering in front of the urinals and not using the restroom, according to police affidavits.
Snider repeatedly denied photographing or filming the child, and left the restroom.
The boy’s mother called police and demanded to see Snider’s phone, but he refused. He later offered to show it to the victim’s relatives, but they suspected that he had deleted the offending material.
Snider agreed to allow arriving officers to unlock and check his device. After failing to discover anything suspicious, they then vetted his recently deleted and hidden folders.
That search revealed video of the victim, police said. The footage made it clear that it was taken from an elevated position, according to authorities.
“The young male had his shorts down around his ankles and was wearing a blue shirt,” according to a police report seen by The Post.
Snider — who refused to unlock his Apple Watch — was arrested at the scene and booked into an Orange County jail on charges of video voyeurism, according to Click Orlando.
He released from Orange County Jail on $5,000 bond and has entered a plea of not guilty.
