Crystal Hefner ‘relieved’ when ‘robotic’ Hugh sex stopped

Hugh Hefner’s Playboy brand was known for being one of the magazine industry’s first sex-positive places.

However, according to his widow Crystal Hefner, this view was far from the truth.

The model, 37, opened up about her non-glamourous life as his third and final wife in her candid new memoir, Only Say Good Things: Surviving Playboy and Finding Myself.

Crystal was married to the publisher from 2012 until his death at age 91 in 2017. They met in October 2008 when she was 21 and he was 82.

She penned in her autobiography how sex with Hefner felt like a “well-oiled and well-practiced sequence of events… that went the same exact way every time.”

“Picking some girls from the party and bringing them up. Changing into the uniform for the job: silk pajamas. The dimming of the lights. The music. The porn. Passing the pot. And then the sex,” she wrote.

She noted that the “odd and robotic” practice of sex had no intimacy or passion attached to it.

“Like Hef was just going through the motions of something that had once been fun and sexy,” the former Playmate added. “Or maybe it was never fun and sexy.”

Crystal explained that the CEO would often rely on “little blue pills” to enhance his sexual performance and music needed to be on during the act.

She would play the same Madonna song every time that way “no other music will be contaminated by this place.”

She wrote that she liked the group sex with his other girlfriends rather than being alone with him.

When it was her time to ride the saddle, Hefner would look at her with a bored expression, and “there was nothing sexy about it.”

“It was about power and control and leverage. It was a performance. I was auditioning for a part.”

Crystal divulged that sexy time with Hefner came to an end in 2014 and she was “relieved.”

She continued: “There was no more bringing girls home, no more performances. For years, I had been keeping up the Playboy Playmate charade for Hef, for the public.”

The San Diego native also touched upon the idea that no one ever gave Hefner advice about sex because he had so many “yes people” around him.

“When you have so much money and power and so many ‘yes people’ around you, you just stick with your own narrative in your mind,” Crystal scribed. “And then everyone else just goes along with it.”

Elsewhere in her book, she claimed that Hefner had “little spy holes” at the foot of his bed, proof that he was taping his sexual encounters.

He once told her that he had “A-list celebrities” on VHS, as well as “videos of wild orgies, also with celebrities and politicians and business leaders, some of whom were married.”
