Dallas teen, two stolen horses killed in crash

A 14-year-old rider and two horses were killed after a vehicle slammed into a trio of teens each riding a stolen horse in Texas, authorities said.

The fatal, early morning collision occurred near Great Trinity Forest and Julius Schepps Freeway in Dallas, police said.

The 14-year-old and one of the horses were pronounced dead on the scene.

Another horse was euthanized by a veterinarian at the crash site, according to authorities.

A 16-year-old and 17-year-old were both taken to the hospital with injuries, but are in stable condition.

The third horse involved was injured, but is expected to survive, police said.

The fatal incident happened around 5:30 a.m. when the teens were each allegedly riding a horse that was stolen, cops said.

The driver is not expected to be charged and remained at the scene following the crash.

Further information about the teens was not revealed by authorities.
