‘Dance for 10 years!’ – Roy Keane delights in Lionel Scaloni dancing after Argentina’s World Cup 2022 victory
Argentina head coach Lionel Scaloni has earned the right to “dance for the next 10 years” after leading his country to World Cup glory, according to Roy Keane.
But the former Manchester United and Republic of Ireland midfielder liked what he saw as Scaloni danced on the pitch with his children following Argentina’s penalty shoot-out win over France.

“He’s got them over the line, he’s on the sidelines kicking every ball,” Keane said.
“That emotion that we talk about, it’s vital for this group of players and it got them over the line.
“What brilliant scenes. Dance all you want! They’ll be dancing at the hotel tonight. Dance for the next 10 years! That’s when you dance – when you win it.”
Argentina were 2-0 up at the break after a Lionel Messi penalty, and a Angel Di Maria strike gave them a comfortable advantage.
But Kylian Mbappe scored twice in a few minutes to level the score and force extra time, where Messi and Mbappe both scored again to take it to penalties.
Both of the star players netted their spot kicks in the shoot-out, but Emilano Martinez’s save to deny Kingsley Coman and an Aurelien Tchouameni miss proved decisive as Argentina won their first World Cup since 1986.
