Danny Bonaduce cracks joke after brain surgery: ‘I lived, bitch’
Danny Bonaduce still has his sense of humor following his successful brain surgery Monday.
The 63-year-old “Partridge Family” star and Seattle radio personality tweeted Tuesday in response to a TMZ article about his road to recovery.
“I lived, bitch,” he hilariously quote-tweeted the article.
Bonaduce’s wife, Amy Railsback, also updated fans about her husband’s procedure.
“It’s been a long day but I just wanted to let you guys know that Danny’s surgery went according to plan and he’s doing well,” she tweeted.
The Post has contacted Railsback and a rep for Bonaduce for comment.
Bonaduce revealed in April 2022 that he had a mystery illness that resulted in him stepping away from his KZOK radio show “The Danny Bonaduce & Sarah Morning Show.”
“Some news to share. I’m taking a temporary medical leave from my radio show,” he tweeted at the time. “I’ll share more when I know more. I’m still working towards receiving a diagnosis. What I know is, I need time to focus on my health. I love my job and talking to you guys & I’ll be back on the air soon.”
He explained on “Good Morning America” last year that his illness made him lose the ability to walk and talk.
“I couldn’t walk at all,” Bonaduce said on the ABC program, adding that Railsback could see something was very wrong in the spring of 2022.
“She [Railsback] looked really nervous, and she said, ‘You’re not saying words, you’re not speaking English,’ which, of course, is preposterous to me.”
Three months ago, he was finally diagnosed with hydrocephalus after claiming to have visited “100 doctors.”
Hydrocephalus is a neurological disorder “caused by an abnormal buildup of cerebrospinal fluid in the ventricles (cavities) deep within the brain … putting harmful pressure on the brain’s tissues,” according to the National Institutes of Health.
Monday’s surgery was to drain the liquid from his brain.
The Bonaduces recently listed their $1.6 million Seattle home, as the layout is now “too dangerous” for his condition.
