Deer crashed through the doors of Minnesota butcher shop

Oh, deer!

A Minnesota butcher shop received an unwelcome visitor when a wild deer wreaked havoc on Saturday morning.

The mid-sized doe was captured making its grand entrance when it launched itself through the store’s glass door in surveillance footage posted on She Said Butcher Shop’s Facebook page.

“A deer decided to come in and warm up but realized it is a butcher shop and high-tailed it right back out,” the store said on Facebook. “She caused quite a bit of damage on her way in and out.”

The frightened deer attempted to stand back on its feet before knocking over a few flower pots and damaging a wall as it attempted to escape through the store’s window.

Melissa Evans, owner of She Said Butcher Shop, said she “had no idea what was going on and thought maybe somebody had drove through the building or the ceiling was crashing down,” according to NBC15.

Evans said she and her daughter happened to be in the meat processing room near the back of the store at the time when they were alarmed by the deer plowing into the shop.

“I hope that the deer is ok and back telling the story to her friends about the crazy experience she had today escaping the butcher,” Evans shared in the social media post.

She was forced to close the business until Monday in order to fix the damages, but was optimistic about the wild scenario bringing “a lot more business” to her shop.

“People are gonna want to come see the deer head and the hole in the wall, and talk about the deer that delivered itself to the butcher shop,” she told the outlet.
