Deshaun Watson suspension ‘agreed to’ ahead of start of regular season: report
The NFL and NFLPA reportedly agreed to an 11-game suspension for Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson, including a multimillion–dollar settlement that will go to charity.
According to ESPN, the deal isn’t signed “but it is agreed to.” He will have to pay $5 million in the settlement.
Watson was initially given a six-game suspension by independent disciplinary officer Sue L. Robinson. The NFL later decided to appeal.
