Did it begin on Meghan Markle’s ‘Suits’?

The Roman Empire trend may have actually started at Pearson Specter Litt LLC — according to some TikTokers.

In a new TikTok trend, women are asking their partners how many times a day they think about the Roman Empire — a period of time that lasted from 27 B.C. to 476 A.D. Some of the reveals are hilarious, unexpected — and taped for the app.

Amid the revelations, some “Suits” fans have dug up a scene between Meghan Markle and Patrick J. Adams’ Rachel Zane and Mike Ross that includes a reference to the Roman Empire.

In the scene, Mike is listening to music on his headphones and dancing in an elevator before reuniting with Rachel at the office entrance.

“What’s playing on that thing?” Rachel asks.

“Uh, audiobook,” Mike replies. “Fall of the Roman Empire.”

One TikTok user simply captioned the footage, “theory: confirmed.”

Rev. Kelsey Lewis Vincent initially kicked off the TikTok trend earlier this month. “I saw an IG Reel that said something along the lines of “women have no idea how often the men in their lives think about the Roman Empire. So I asked my husband: ‘How often do you think about the Roman Empire?’” she wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter, on Sept. 5.

“And without missing a beat he said ‘Every day,’” she added. “YALL! Why!?”

Markle and Adams starred on the USA Network show for seven seasons, and both exited the drama as their costars went on to film Seasons 8 and 9. (Adams, however, did come back for a few episodes in the final season.)

Markle left acting altogether in 2017.

The former actress left the show shortly before marrying Prince Harry at George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle on May 19, 2018.

Adams attended the royal wedding alongside “Suits” co-stars Gina Torres, Sarah Rafferty, Gabriel Macht, Rick Hoffman and Abigail Spencer.

“I don’t see it as giving anything up. I just see it as a change. It’s a new chapter,” Markle told BBC of leaving the entertainment industry in November 2017. “And also keep in mind I’ve been working on my show for seven years. So, we were very fortunate to have that sort of longevity on a series. For me, once we hit the 100 episode marker, I thought, I have ticked this box and I feel really proud of the work I’ve done there and now it’s time to work as a team with [Harry].”

When asked again about her decision by Variety, the Duchess of Sussex noted in October: “No. I’m done. … I guess never say never, but my intention is to absolutely not.”

If their kids Archie, 4, and Lili, 2, wanted to dabble in the arts, however, she would be open to it.

“When you become a parent, you genuinely want your kids to find the things that bring them complete joy,” she said, noting it’d be “great” if that’s the path they chose. “They’re our kids, obviously, and they’re part of a legacy and a tradition and a family that will have other expectations. But I want them to be able to carve out their own path. If it’s the entertainment industry, great. And also, good luck. There are so many people that will talk about what opened the door for my children. But it still takes talent and a lot of grit. We’re creating multidimensional, interesting, kind, creative people. That’s who our kids are.”
