Dr. Phil calls on Biden to take cognitive test during Bill Maher appearance

Dr. Phil McGraw called on President Biden to take a cognitive test — as concerns about the 81-year-old’s mental acuity grow.

The author and former TV psychologist spoke out during an appearance on the “Overtime” segment of Bill Maher’s talk show Friday night.

“Dr. Phil, do you think President Biden should take a cognitive exam?” Maher asked.

“People that have nothing to hide, hide nothing,” McGraw responded.

“So, why not?” he added, to applause from the studio audience.

The White House has insisted that Biden, the oldest president in US history, has suffered no age-related cognitive decline.

“The president doesn’t need a cognitive test. That is not my assessment, that is the assessment of the president’s doctor,” press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said Thursday.

Biden “passes a cognitive test every day — every day — as he moves from one topic to another topic,” Jean-Pierre said.

But special counsel Robert Hur, in a blistering report released Feb. 8, said Biden should not face criminal charges for his alleged mishandling of classified documents because a jury would perceive him as a “sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory.”

In public remarks last month, Biden claimed on three occasions to have recently spoken with long-dead foreign leaders, then confused the leaders of Mexico and Egypt at a strident press conference called to refute Hur’s conclusions about his mental state.

More than 80% of registered voters in a poll of seven battleground states said the incumbent is “too old” for office, according to a a Bloomberg News/Morning Consult survey released Thursday.

Earlier in Friday’s show, Maher offered a brutal commentary on Biden’s age — in which the comedian delivered a mock State of the Union address as the 46th president while using a walker.

“Just admit it, say yes, I’m bad with names and I walk like a toddler with a full diaper,” Maher jabbed.
