Ed Sheeran crashes Vegas wedding to serenade bride and groom
Ed Sheeran made a couple’s wedding unforgettable — even “magical” — when he crashed their Las Vegas nuptials to serenade them with his new single.
The singer-songwriter broke through the doors of the Little White Chapel with a small choir in tow to surprise Jordan and Carter Lindenfield with his unreleased song “Magical” over the weekend.
The couple looked shocked to see the Grammy-award-winning star walk down the aisle with his acoustic guitar around his neck in a video posted by Sheeran on Instagram.
“Crashed a wedding, this is Magical x,” he captioned the short clip.
Bride Jordan was left with her jaw dropped, while the groom mouthed “What?!” in disbelief, the footage shows.
Off-camera wedding attendees could be heard gasping and exclaiming ‘Oh my god’ as the “Perfect” singer made a guest appearance.
As Sheeran sang the words “One touch electric shock eyes locked … do you feel it too?,” the groom kissed the bride on the cheek and wrapped his arm around her waist.
The couple appeared near tears as the UK musician strummed his guitar and sang the chorus: “Is this how it feels to be in love? This is magical. This is magical,” with his backup singers.
Sheeran hugged both Jordan and Carter after concluding the song to cheers and the officiant soon pronounced the couple husband and wife.
The married hitmaker even sealed the couple’s day with an autograph. He signed as the witness on their marriage certificate and apparently gave the newlyweds some words of advice for their new lives together.
“THANK YOU SO MUCH for the most magical day of our lives 😭,” Jordan wrote on Sheeran’s Instagram post. “We’ll truly never forget this or the wedding advice you gave us.”
The same weekend, Sheeran disappointed some fans by canceling his Las Vegas concert at Allegiant Stadium less than an hour before showtime over apparent safety issues with the venue’s flooring.
Many would-be concert-goers were irate after they already waited in line outside the stadium in over 100-degree heat. Some on line reportedly passed out from the scalding temperature.
The “Shape of You” singer promised all ticket-holders for Saturday’s show would be validated for a new Oct. 28 date of the postponed concert.
