Elderly UK man used scooter to run down man over pastry, video shows

It was a dough-mestic dispute.

A cane-wielding man used his motorized scooter to mow down a fellow senior citizen in the United Kindom Tuesday after watching him buy “the last pastry.”

Shocking footage shows the hangry customer with his cane raised menacingly as he chases his victim into a storefront’s sign and bulldozes him to the ground.

He then turns his wrath toward another bystander, who furiously tries to wrestle away the walking stick before giving up and trying to help the elderly victim.

“It all happened over someone having the last pasty and the man was being rude about it as he wanted it,” Oakleigh Richards, 21, who filmed the distressing scene, told SWNS.

The unnamed assailant launched his tirade directly outside Country Cottage Bakery in Bideford, a historic town in southwest England.

He began scolding the other patrons — many of them elderly — as they filed into the street after buying their baked goods for having the nerve to beat him to the store, Richards said.

“He then started knocking people and then when I got my phone out and started recording this happened,” the mother-of-one told the outlet.

One man asked the yelling wheelchair user if he needed any help, but the man instead started following him closely behind on his scooter with his cane in an eerie imitation of a medical jouster on horseback.

That’s when the victim turns to address the assailant — and then finds himself thrown on the pavement.

“You dare! You just knocked him over!” an appalled bystander shouts.

The man on the mobility scooter replied: “I didn’t he just walked towards me.”

Other witnesses rushed to help the victim back to his feet.

Local police later said they were able to identify the assailant and that they seized his weapon, aka his scooter.

The Bideford department posted an image of its officer riding the scooter back to the station while joking about the bizarre crime.

“Residents of Bideford may have seen this slightly unusual sight today! And while we are an equal opportunity employer, no, we currently don’t have any plans to launch mobility scooter patrols,” the department said.
