Elle King unexplainably postpones concert after performing Dolly Parton tribute ‘f–king hammered’
Elle King has postponed her upcoming Texas concert after her now-viral drunken Dolly Parton tribute at the Grand Ole Opry on Friday.
“The Elle King event, originally for Fri. 1/26/24 has been rescheduled to Sat. 9/21/24 @ 10 PM,” Billy Bob’s Texas, the venue for King’s rescheduled show, wrote Wednesday on its Instagram.
“Original event tickets will be accepted for the new date. Refunds are available at the point of purchase. Thank you for your understanding!” it concluded.
The Post has contacted a rep for King for comment.
The “Ex’s & Oh’s” singer has yet to publicly address or apologize for slurring her words and forgetting the rest while singing Parton’s “Marry Me” at the Ole Opry.
“I don’t know the lyrics to these things in this f – – king town,” King sang, as captured in a TikTok, adding: “Don’t tell Dolly ’cause it’s her birthday.”
The daughter of actors Rob Schneider and London King then told an unimpressed crowd, “You spent money for this s – – t. You ain’t getting your money back.”
“I’ll tell you one thing more: ‘Hi, my name is Elle King [and] I’m f – – king hammered,’” she admitted.
In a last-ditch effort to make save the performance, a member of King’s band urged her to play one of her own songs.
“I can barely play another person’s song, let me see if I can play one of mine,” King slurred into her microphone.
