Emma Raducanu: Brit to play exhibition event as Australian Open preparation continues

Emma Raducanu is to play in the Kooyong Classic exhibition tournament as she continues her preparation for the Australian Open.

Raducanu, now ranked 301, won the opening set against the Ukrainian, but was edged out in a close second set tie-break before fatigue hampered her, and Svitolina closed out the decider 6-1.

Raducanu tops the bill of the women’s event, which also includes Mirra Andreeva, the teenager who reached the last 16 of Wimbledon last year, losing out to American Madison Keys.

In the men’s event, Holger Rune, Casper Ruud, and Jannik Sinner are the big names.
