‘So much stuff said about me that isn’t true’ – Raducanu on ‘intense’ adaptation to fame

Raducanu was catapulted to global fame after winning the US Open in 2021 as a qualifier, but fell down the rankings during her first full season on tour after enduring a number of injuries. She is currently world No. 74.
Raducanu only returned from a wrist injury this month and missed the recent Billie Jean King Cup Finals in Glasgow.
Sachs’ arrival marks an effective swap with Tursunov, who is now coaching Swiss star Bencic. As well as working with Azarenka, Sachs has also helped Julia Gorges crack the world’s top 10.
“So much stuff is said about me that isn’t true, but I try not to let it affect me.
“The past year has meant getting used to that side of things – the publicity and hearing all these things I never even knew about myself.
“The attention on the tour is so intense.”
