Emma Roberts accused of transphobia by ‘AHS’ co-star
Emma Roberts might be facing her own “horror story.”
Angelica Ross, 42, accused her fellow “American Horror Story” co-star of making transphobic remarks as well as “playing mind games” with the crew while filming “American Horror Story: 1984.”
The footage, which was taken from an undated Instagram livestream, was posted Wednesday on X (formerly Twitter).
The Post reached out to Roberts for comment.
One of the videos shows Ross, who is transgender, in a room talking about her experience with Roberts, 32, and how her relationship with the Ryan Murphy muse ended horribly.
“I’m standing in front of Emma, talking to her like this,” said Ross positioning herself to face a mirror. “And she’s in front of me, her back against the mirror.”
“She goes, ‘John, Angelica’s being mean,’” the “Pose” star claims, possibly referring to director John J. Gray. “I know she’s not being for real, she’s just being whatever.”
“And John is like, ‘OK, ladies, that’s enough. Let’s get back to work.’ And she then looks at me and she goes, ‘Don’t you mean lady?’ And she turns around like this and covers her mouth [with her shirt].”
According to Ross, Roberts then turns around but “I’m looking at her dead a– in the camera, like, ‘What the f–k did you just say?’”
Ross, who was a regular in “1984,” said that she stared at Roberts the entire time “trying to process [what] the f–k she just said.”
“I’m standing there, she walked away. My blood is boiling,” recalled Ross. “Because I’m like, if I say something, it’s gonna be me that’s the problem.”
The “Claws” star claimed that she couldn’t do anything because she knew “someone who spoke up about what [Roberts] was doing and they got repercussions from it.”
Following the alleged incident, Ross said that she didn’t speak to Roberts at all — even when the duo were in a scene together.
After Ross’ story went viral, she revealed that Roberts reached out to her. “Thank you @RobertsEmma
for calling and apologizing, recognizing your behavior was not that of an ally,” she shared on her social media. “I will leave the line open to follow up on your desire to do better and support social justice causes with your platform.”
The allegations come on the same day as the release of the show’s twelfth season, “Delicate,” starring Roberts alongside Kim Kardashian and Cara Delevingne.
Ross expounded on Roberts’ “mind games” in two other videos, where she claimed the “We Are the Millers” star started screaming at a director to prove she was the one in charge.
“She was trying to make it very clear that she was number one on the call sheet and she was the one in charge,” alleged Ross. “And she was making sure that her trailer was right outside of the of the sound lot.”
According to the actress, the mood on the set was always tense as many of the actors “wanted to fight her all the time.”
Ross also claimed that Roberts would often gather the other actors outside her trailer and ask each of them how much they made per episode.
According to one of the actors, no one answered the question when declared that everything would be fine “as long as you’re not getting paid more than $100,000 for an episode” before walking off.
“American Horror Story: Delicate” is set to premiere Wednesday at 10 p.m. ET/PT on FX.
